SINGAPORE AIRLINES A380 TO FLY TO MELBOURNE
On 29Sep’09, customers travelling between Singapore and Melbourne will get to enjoy an unrivalled in-flight experience on our Airbus A380!! Melbourne is the 2nd most populous city in Australia and a vibrant center for commerce, arts, industry, sports and tourism. Singapore Airlines operates 21 weekly services between SIN and MEL, 7 times weekly to ADL, 19 times weekly to BNE, 19 times weekly to PER and 28 times weekly to SYD.
This will be the 6th city in our network to receive the A380, our other destinations are: SYD, LHR, NRT, CDG and HKG.
DIRECT FLIGHTS RESUME FROM CAPE TOWN TO SINGAPORE
From 25Oct'09 til 31Jan'10, the direct Cape Town-Singapore-Cape Town flight will be back. This means that there will be daily flights from Johannesburg to Singapore and three weekly flights from Cape Town to Singapore. Flights from Cape Town will operate on a Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.

Airport Check-In
First Class Check-In Reception
At Singapore Changi Airport Terminals 2 and 3, First-Class passengers and Solitaire PPS Club members with confirmed bookings on Singapore Airlines operated flights may proceed to check in at the First Class
Check-In Reception.
Just like the service in a top-class hotel, a member of our Premium Services team will greet you when you arrive, and a porter will unload your baggage and assist you through to our First Class Check-in Reception, an elegant facility located next to immigration.
Our Premium Services Officer will handle your check-in while you sit back and enjoy the comfort of the lounge. A private entrance from the lounge leads you directly to Immigration, after which you can proceed to the SilverKris Lounge or to your boarding gate.
This service is available daily from 5.30 am to 1.45 am (the following morning) at Terminal 2 and 5.30 am to 12.45 am (the following morning) at Terminal 3.
Counter Check-In
At Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 and 3, customers holding confirmed flight bookings on Singapore Airlines may check in up to 48 hours before flight departure with their baggage. This service is available daily from 5.30 am to 1.00 am (the following morning).
In Terminal 2, First Class and Business Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 4 while Economy Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 8. In Terminal 3, First Class and Business Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 6 while Economy Class passengers may check in at counters at Rows 3 and 4.
Group Check-In
Checked baggage of group check-in passengers are to be accepted individually regardless of airport's security category. Family members, travelling as one party may combine the weight of their baggage and check-in together.
For Group Check-In, please proceed to row 7 of Changi Airport Terminal 2 and row 10 of Changi Airport Terminal 3.
SilverKris Lounge Check-In
First Class and Business Class passengers can check in from the comfort of our SilverKris Lounge in Singapore. This service is available to customers with confirmed flight reservations on Singapore Airlines operated flights travelling without checked baggage.
This service is available daily from 5.30 am until the departure of the last flight of the day. Simply obtain a stamp endorsement on your ticket from Row 4 (Terminal 2), Row 6 (Terminal 3) or First Class Check-In Reception and then present your ticket at the entrance to immigration area.
Special Assistance Check-in Counter
Singapore Airlines offers a range of services for passengers who require special assistance. At Singapore Changi Airport, we provide a Special Assistance check-in counter especially for the following passengers:

- · Families with infants or toddlers
- · Passengers with reduced mobility
- · Passengers with disabilities
