EUROPCAR has announced that it now offers its customers Personal Baggage Insurance (PBI).

It is an optional insurance that can be purchased for a nominal daily fee when making a reservation or at the time of vehicle pick-up. Companies can also take out individual or business blanket cover for its employees.

The PBI is underwritten by Regent Insurance and covers the renter and all passengers for any loss or theft from the rental vehicle, including luggage, electronics and sports equipment.

“This latest innovation is in line with international trends, where customers are opting for this inexpensive ‘peace of mind’,” said George Corbett, Europcar, operations director.
